In 1999 a group of independant touring parks which were already operating child-free formed an association to promote the concept.

The association was called Tranquil Touring Parks, to reflect the relaxed environment of our parks, unmarred by the hustle and bustle of children.

Many of our customers have had children, or care for children for most of the year and consequently prefer to relax without the young ones.

To be a member of the group each park must comply with certain regulations. There are a number of other parks which do not fully qualify for membership as they do not fulfil all the requirements. The minimum age of visitors must be at least 18 years of age.

All member parks are committed to giving a high quality service and must be graded by Quality in Tourism or a regional equivalent.

Tranquil Touring Parks represent a wide variety of locations, settings and sizes. They are operated in individual ways but what distinguishes them is their specialized service just for grown-ups.
