Going Green: Win a season’s supply of Elsan Organic - Jan 2012 Toilet Products! Tranquil Touring Parks have teamed up with Elsan to promote environmentally friendly organic toilet fluids at participating member parks. Elsan introduced the portable chemical toilet in 1924 and have remained at the forefront of product development ever since. Elsan Organic is mildly perfumed and, at around £9.95 for a full two litres, it doesn’t cost the earth to go green. To launch the promotion, Elsan are giving away 20 kits of environmentally friendly toilet fluids. See Page 116 of February’s MMM Magazine or enter free online at this link; http://www.outandaboutlive.co.uk/Motorhomes/Competitions/Elsan-Organic-Toilet-Products/_cm526 Closing date:16th February 2012. |

Going Green; Tranquil Touring Parks - Dec 2011 While you are enjoying a stay at one of our 26 beautiful countryside and coastal parks, have you ever thought that your choice of cassette toilet fluid might affect the environment around the park? Choosing an organic fluid can make a big difference, so we will be placing information panels around our Elsan points to explain how choosing an organic fluid helps us to care for the environment. Organic fluids stimulate natural bacteria that break down the content of your toilet into harmless fluid. Toilet fluids containing formaldehyde, biocides or other chemicals stop that natural process. They have to be stored in sealed tanks and collected by effluent tankers for processing at water treatment plants. The organic option enables the park to safely release waste water through a septic tank system. No energy, no tanker required. And for you? Organic fluids don’t have unpleasant chemical smells and can be used in the flush tank as well. |

Welcome to Chainbridge Touring Caravan Site - Nov 2011 Tranquil Touring Parks welcomes Chainbridge Touring Caravan Site, a new destination for guests to enjoy. Chainbridge is a delightful, four-star, adult caravan park on the England - Scotland border. The River Tweed is 50 yards from the park, reaching the sea at Berwick-upon-Tweed, just four miles away. The park is named after the nearby chain bridge across the river. Patrick and Nina Robinson have recently developed the site as a high-grade adult touring park with a choice of grass or hardstanding pitches and lots of guest features. Bamburgh Castle, The Farne Islands and The Holy Island of Lindisfarne are only 30 minutes drive. The Tweed Valley and riverside towns are perfect for touring, walking and fishing. Visit the Chainbridge website. |

Who’s who in the Tranquil Touring Parks team? - Oct 2011 It can be hectic enough being a successful park operator, so we are very lucky to have ‘hands on’ members who volunteer their time to promote Tranquil Touring Parks, answer customer queries and recruit more touring parks who can provide the ‘Tranquil’ adult touring experience. At our October AGM, John O’Neill (Longnor Wood Holiday Park) pictured, became Chairman, assisted by Edward Corwood (Moor View Touring Park) as Vice-Chair. Tony Taylor (Waterrow Touring Park) turns his experience to managing park membership and recruitment. Mark Bell (Daisy Bank Touring Park) becomes Company Secretary with James White (The Old Oaks Touring Park) looking after finance. Chris Patrick (Woodland Springs Touring Park) is group webmaster who is already working on new guest features for 2012. |
